Set a phone or tablet on a stand, and your guests take their own photos, framed with your event's design. Each guest types in a phone number or email address and gets their photos right away, with a private link to see them again later.
Everything runs from the Curtainly app: create the event, choose a layout, and start the booth. No rented booth, no photographer, no cables.

Who we are
Curtainly is an app that turns an iPhone or iPad into a photo booth. It is operated by Dan Liszka and Caleb Secor, Pennsylvania, United States ("Curtainly", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. For questions or requests, email app.curtainly+support@gmail.com.
A "host" is someone who signs in to the app and runs a photo booth at an event. A "guest" is someone who uses that booth.
Information from hosts
- When you sign in with Apple: the identifier Apple gives you for Curtainly, and the name and email address you choose to share, which may be a private relay address.
- The names of the devices you sign in on.
- The events you create, their schedules and settings, and the layouts and overlays you choose.
Information from guests
- Photos and videos taken at the booth.
- The phone number or email address a guest enters to receive them.
- Whether our messages to that number or address were delivered, bounced, reported as spam, or opted out of.
Information collected automatically
Our servers record the requests they receive, including IP addresses, device and browser details, and the time and address of each request. We use no analytics or advertising services and no tracking cookies.
Hosts and guests
The host decides to run a booth, chooses whether guests may enter a phone number or email address, and controls the event's photos. We handle guests' information on the host's behalf, to provide the service to the host. If you were a guest at an event, ask its host about your photos.
How we use information
- To provide the service: sign-in, events, the booth, and delivering photos.
- To send each guest who enters a phone number or email address their photos and a link to see them.
- To support hosts, investigate problems, and keep the service and the people who use it safe, including reviewing content reported to us or suspected of abuse.
- To improve the service.
- To comply with the law and enforce our Terms of Service.
We may access stored content, including guests' photos, for these purposes. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Text messages
A guest who enters a mobile number at a booth agrees to receive texts from Curtainly with their photos. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that run Curtainly for us, and only as they need it to do so:
- Amazon Web Services: hosting, our database, and sending email and text messages.
- Cloudflare: storing photos and serving them to guests.
- Apple: Sign in with Apple.
- jsDelivr: delivering a script that photo pages load, which gives it the visitor's IP address and browser details.
Guests' photos are available to the host of their event and to anyone with a link to them. We may also disclose information when the law requires it; to protect the rights, safety or property of Curtainly, the people who use it, or others; or as part of a transfer of the business, such as to a company formed to run Curtainly. Information is stored and processed in the United States.
The suppression list
When a message to a phone number or email address bounces, its recipient reports it as spam, or its recipient replies STOP, we add that number or address to a suppression list and never message it again, from any event. Contacts are kept on the suppression list after their event and the host's account are deleted, because the list exists to keep them from being messaged again. To be removed from it, email us.
How long we keep information
We keep hosts' and guests' information until the host's account is deleted, or until we remove it. Links to photos may stop working after a time. We keep server logs, including IP addresses, for as long as we need them for security, troubleshooting and legal purposes. Backups may hold deleted information for a limited time.
Deleting information
A host can ask us by email to delete their account. Deleting an account deletes its events and their photos and guests' contact details, and ends Sign in with Apple for Curtainly; only the suppression list is kept. A guest who wants their photos or contact details deleted must ask the host of their event.
Security
Information is encrypted in transit, and access to it is limited to Curtainly's operators and the service providers above. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information.
Children
Curtainly is not directed at children under 13, and hosts must be 18 or older. Hosts are responsible for the guests at their events, including children, and for getting a parent's or guardian's consent where it is needed. If you believe we hold a child's information without that consent, email us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including California, the European Union and the United Kingdom, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to object to or restrict how it is used. To make a request, email us. Requests about an event's photos and guests' contact details are passed to the event's host, who decides them; we act on the host's instructions. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Changes
We may change this policy. We will post the new version here with a new date, and for significant changes we may also tell hosts by email.
Terms of Service
Last updated October 11, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms are an agreement between you and Dan Liszka and Caleb Secor, Pennsylvania, United States, who operate Curtainly ("Curtainly", "we", "us"). By signing in to the Curtainly app and using it as a host, or by entering your phone number or email address at a Curtainly booth as a guest, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Curtainly.
Section 12 contains an arbitration agreement and a class-action waiver, which affect how disputes are resolved.
2. Eligibility and accounts
Hosts must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. You sign in with Apple, and you are responsible for your account, for the devices signed in to it, and for everything done with them.
3. Hosts' responsibilities
As a host, you are responsible for your events and for how the booth is used at them. You must:
- tell guests that photos are being taken, and get any consent the law requires to photograph them, to store and share their photos, and to message them;
- get a parent's or guardian's consent before a child uses the booth, where the law requires it;
- follow the laws that apply where your event takes place; and
- use only overlays, images and other material you have the right to use.
You are responsible for what is captured and shared at your events.
4. Content
"Content" means the photos, videos, overlays and other material captured, uploaded or created through Curtainly. You keep whatever rights you have in your Content. You grant Curtainly a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable license to host, store, copy, process, adapt for display, display, transmit and access Content, for as long as it is stored, to operate, provide, support, secure and improve Curtainly, to enforce these Terms, and to comply with the law. We sublicense it only to the service providers that run Curtainly for us. We will not sell Content, or use people's photos in advertising without their permission.
As a host, you confirm that you have the rights and consents needed to grant this license for the Content captured at your events, including guests' photos.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use Curtainly to:
- capture, store or share anything unlawful, harassing, defamatory or infringing, or any sexual content involving a minor;
- photograph people without their consent where they expect privacy;
- message people who have not agreed to it, or send spam;
- interfere with, overload, or gain unauthorized access to Curtainly or its systems; or
- copy, reverse engineer or resell Curtainly, except as the law allows.
We may remove Content and suspend accounts that break these rules.
6. Text messages
When a guest enters a mobile number at a booth, Curtainly sends texts to that number with the guest's photos, such as a link to them. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, and you will receive no further texts from Curtainly at that number. For support, email app.curtainly+support@gmail.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
7. Changes to the service
We may add, change, pause or stop any part of Curtainly, or stop offering it, at any time. We may delete Content after a time, so keep your own copies of anything you want to keep.
8. Ending this agreement
A host may stop using Curtainly at any time, and ask us by email to delete their account. We may suspend or end anyone's access if they break these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect Curtainly or others. Sections 4 and 9 to 15 continue to apply after this agreement ends.
9. Disclaimers
CURTAINLY IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT CURTAINLY WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT PHOTOS OR MESSAGES WILL BE CAPTURED, STORED OR DELIVERED, OR THAT CONTENT WILL NOT BE LOST.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, CURTAINLY AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, CONTENT OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO CURTAINLY OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THEIR POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO CURTAINLY OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR CURTAINLY IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND US $100. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO THEY MAY NOT ALL APPLY TO YOU.
11. Indemnification
As a host, you will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Curtainly and its operators from any claims, losses, liabilities and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your events, your Content and the Content captured at your events, your use of Curtainly, or your breach of these Terms or of the law.
12. Dispute resolution
Informal resolution. Before starting a claim, you and we each agree to try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days, starting when one side emails a written description of it to the other.
Arbitration. Except as below, any dispute, claim or controversy arising from or relating to Curtainly or these Terms, including their formation, scope or validity, will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, before a single arbitrator. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. The arbitration may be held by video, by phone, on written submissions, or in the county where you live. Fees are paid as the AAA's rules provide.
Class-action waiver. You and we may bring claims only individually, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims or award relief to anyone else. If this waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim must be decided by a court, not in arbitration.
Exceptions. Either side may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either side may ask a court to stop infringement or misuse of its intellectual property.
Opting out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing us within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms, with your name, the phone number, email address or Apple account you used with Curtainly, and a statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect the rest of these Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute not subject to arbitration will be heard only in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new date, and it applies from then, except that a change to section 12 does not apply to a dispute already known to us. If you keep using Curtainly after a change, you accept it.
15. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Curtainly. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a part is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these Terms; we may, such as to a company formed to run Curtainly.
16. The App Store
If you downloaded the Curtainly app from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for Curtainly or its support.
